I've had quite a few headsets break, and I've been dissapointed many times about the soundquality relative to the products price. But, I've had the same Razer deathadder mouse for around 5 years now and its still going really strong, and im still really happy with my Blackwidow keyboard. Overall, I'm ok with Razer products, but i will never buy a headset from them ever again.

I've been using razer products for almost 4 years now and every product I've gotten from them has had an issue with my deathadder elite both the left click and right click started acting up after a year of owning, my keyboard has an issue where my keys will stick not physically stay pushed down but they would keep typing on my pc, and every headset I've used have stopped working after months of using them.

Had few Tickets put up with Razer 1st one was for my Kraken 7.1 earcups opening up out of waranty they sent me 2 free replacements 2nd one was for my mouse pad Vespula which gained a bump they gave me a voucher of full price to get whatever i wanted to replace it. 3rd one was for my blackwidow chroma which 2-3 LED's didnt match the picked color they gave me a voucher for it of 179,99 when i paid 130 for it just had to cover the extra of 10 euros to get the V2. Sometimes they take a bit of time to reply true, but they always gave me the best solution possible with my issues convincing me to keep buying from them, sure you pay a premium just be a smart buyer and get stuff from them on sales and they do offer plenty goodies with the orders made from razerstore.

You will find a large majority of people complaining about EVERYTHING including the best comp peripherals like Razer and legendary games like WoW. Warranty and price have nothing to do with the function of the product. I've never had a Razer product break on me and I've been buying them for years.

My Razer Taipan was the only mouse i used for 6 years. It was my 12th birthday at 2013 that my Taipan was purchased as a gift. That same Taipan has been used constantly for 6 years. Tomorrow, i'm getting my G502 Proteus Spectrum since my Taipan's feet are worn out, sensor gets easily clogged due to this, my Mouse 1 button sometimes double clicks, scroll click is fucked up and the mouse stops responding sometimes. For 6 years constant use, this is an amazing life for a mouse if you ask me. And i gotta say, their LED effects are great, probably the best all-around, but the prices are insane. I probably wouldn't have gotten the Taipan if it was up to me to select my first high-end gaming mouse, but for what i got, it was good and worth it. I don't know how today's trending razer products are, but if they break down after 2-3 years at a price of 140$ like the Lancehead, it's totally overpriced. Logitech on the other hand, has the G-series mice and i'm getting my G502 Proteus Spectrum, which is considered by many, for 2-3 year to be the best gaming mouse you can get and it's 80 bucks. Not to mention the software, the custom weights and the RGB lighting, along with the fully programmable 11 buttons. Then, you have the Lancehead, which costs 140 bucks, which has... a laser sensor.

i thin k that razer products aren't bad they are just overpriced and their are just beter companies out their with higher quality products and i hate when my friends say that they use razer because it is the best and i just want them to realize that their are beter gaming things out their. for example Logitech G has been making gaming thing for a very long time and corsair, ducky and hyper X are really good companies and everyone should look in to them. corsair and ducky make some of the best mechanical keyboards and i have a ducky one 2 mini for example and hyper X make good everything over $100 and budget things below $100. Plus their are many smaller good companies out their like Red Dragon. It's your choise but chose wisely.

Not a big fan of Razer. Only razer product I owned was a Razer Naga RGB Mouse. I got it along with my Viper v760 years ago. The Naga has defective lighting which developed after a year on the "Logo" where the Red LED tends to "Spaz" out or just not work at all, so an orange scheme, the logo would appear green. I upgraded to a FAR, FAR less expensive mouse, the Redragon Griffin which has Addressable RGB which actually matches my keyboard even better. (I know modern products have ARGB, but the price of these devices aren't justified for someone like me.) Plus my new mouse has the added benefit of physical buttons for RGB control, unlike Razer which relies heavily on stupid Synapse, which you need a freaking user account and good internet to even use. While I haven't had any mechanical problems with my Naga, it's worked very well, despite the faulty RGB and stupid Synapse (S 3.0 causes BSODs when Macros are used) Razer is Not for Linux users. I personally don't see myself getting another razer product knowing there are far superior /more affordable alternatives out there. Razer is like the "Beats" of computer peripherals. Decent, Mediocre and pretty, yet overpriced. Better alternatives exist. Note: My Naga is a diamond in the rough. Strongly Wish configs were written directly to the mouse instead of directed via Synapse services. ARGB would have been nice. Those two would have made it perfect. Also If you are a Linux user, You'll have limited use. Synapse needs to run 24/7. Even though I'm done with it and it still works fine, It should serve my nephew well when he inherits it.

here is my experience with Razer. bought the Ouroboros when it was released An uncomfortable mouse for a huge price, packed in a pretty nice plastic box, on a special stand.. good looking piece of crap. though it does have a premium look (at first..) its made of a basic quality plastic.. seriously, I've seen better made (building materials) mice on Chinese web-shops. extremely cheap feeling to buttons.. flimsy and shaky build. After about a year of usage one of the charging stand pins just fell in.. which made it unusable, and i had no choice but using the USB cable to charge it. than the adjustable length mechanism broke.. than the silicone side covers peeled off.. it was a disaster. never used a Razer product since. An expensive disappointment in a fine packaging. I don't know whether Razer trying to be the Apple of mice or not, as some people suggest here, but they're not even close there (judging by my Ouroboros) -Apple products not only look good, they actually made out of a premium quality building materials. Sticking to Logitech G series for gaming and Mx Series for all-purpose use. gave the Ouroboros to my 2 year old daughter (all the small parts fell off at this point. no hazard there :D ) to finish it off.

Former Razer user here, this is my experience: Razer Lycosa: It had software problems from the moment I bought it until i got rid of it, and none of the software updates fixed it. Backspace key got busted pretty fast, one of the small plastic holders (the one that holds the metal part) on the inside got broken. That never happened with any other keyboard I used. Razer Imperator: I've bought it and for the first 5 or 6 months I was really satisfied, so I bought one for my best friend as well (I'll get back to that). LMB got broken on my Imperator after a year and a half. For a mouse that costed almost $100 that is unacceptable. My friend's Imperator had connectivity issues only a month after I have had bought it. The gold usb connector had a defect, so he replaced it for a new one. That one lasted for 2 months until its left click started double clicking on its own. He didn't ask for a 3rd one. Razer Goliathus control: The specific "control" texture of this mat has worn out 3 months after I have had bought it. My Imperator could not be used on it any more. Bottom line: IMO, Razer has the best design on the market. Are Razer products junk? Yes, at least for me they are a big fucking pile of junk. I've switched to Steelseries and I have been using the same mouse and same mat for the past 3 years without any problems.

Not to sound like a razor fanboy here, but I’m gonna have to disagree with most of the arguments saying that razer is utter garbage. It may only be just me, but from the years of using different brands (roccat, razer, Corsair, etc) Razer has worked perfectly every time. I have had my razer kraken for almost 5 years and it hasn’t broke. I’ve also had my black widow chroma v2 for a year and it’s worked great. And recently I got the razer mamba elite and I’m still trying it out and it works great. But overall it has worked great for me.

Every razer product I have ever own broke under normal use, in a shockingly small period of time. I purchased the original Razer Onza and after only a few months of normal use, the entire thing just imploded. Stick drift, the rubber on the sticks flaked off/melted, broken face buttons, broken triggers, it was a disaster. I had 2 Razer Lycosa Keyboards the normal and mirror edition. The normal version, with the rubberized keys used shoddy materials and the natural oils from your fingers eroded the keycaps. The device also had terrible ghosting and constantly would disconnect itself. The same issues sans the rubber keycaps applied to the mirror edition. However there was another issue in that the space bar was uneven and rocked back and forth under the slightest pressure. Then I had the Razer Mamba, the original one. The battery could not hold a charge and it would constantly reconnect itself, the cable for the mouse was also braided using terrible materials. The rubber side grip degraded and fell off within months (another shocker with regards to their rubber) and the gliding pads under the mouse fell off in under a year. I even purchased replacements and those lasted even shorter. I went out of my way to protect and care for these products and they all broke. They do make bad products. Any other mouse I have purchased was not a replacement for a broken one, but because I wanted to try something new. My Logitech G502 is 3 years old next month, and it works great and shows virtually no wear on it at all. You can easily make the argument that I happened to be an early adopter for their early stuff and that it has been fixed over time. However, the same issues are still cropping up for customers of Razer past the year 2014. All I know is that I will never buy one of their products ever again.

Logitech and Steelseries are much better in terms of quality. Had a Steelseries Rival 600 break after only 1 month (left click no longer working) but that was the first time I had any problem with them, and I had 4 of their mice over 5 years. The buttons on my razer naga mouse start getting to a point where the buttons no longer want to click, a few well placed strikes against a hard surface fix it for awhile, as do random pokes and prods with a knife or similar tool within the gaps around the malfunctioning button. The pad of buttons on the side are what seem to be biggest problem, I think that with use there becomes a short in the connection. Takes about 6 months before i see the symptoms. Eventually the malfunctioning mouse buttons quit responding entirely and i purchase a replacement; whether this occurs by process of wear and tear or the malfunctioning buttons draw too much aggro and subsequently cause me to send the mouse back to the last checkpoint, depends largely on the game at play. I really appreciate the utility of synapse and that is why i usually go back.

The idea that their stuff feels cheap is laughable to me, especially when it comes to their keyboards. I've tried Corsair, including their over glorified cherry mx speed switches on the K95, and Logitech and the like. Their switches all feel clunky, and cheap like they stuck a block of wood inside the keyboard and you are trying to press through it. By contrast every single Razer keyboard I have bought has been extremely responsive, and fluid simply being a joy to use. I used my first one for like 4 years with no issues, and I still have it and it still works some 8 years later, before I upgraded to the keyboard I recently gave my Nephews and I am now getting my third razer keyboard in the mail now. I use the Naga religiously as since I started using it I really can't see myself functioning on a computer without it now, and not just for gaming having a number pad right at my finger tips is really sweet when I'm just browsing the web and such. My headset is the man o war that I've had since about a month since it came out and it still works as well. I guess it helps that I do routine maintenance, cleaning, etc and store everything in a cool and dry location, where I keep all my PC stuff. Hell I recently got the Razer Phone 2 and every single person that has seen the thing, both it's 120 refresh screen and speakers are jealous as hell simply because of how much better the quality is. No Razer products are not junk, their warranty may be poor but when I compare it to everything else out there, both in design and function, they smoke everything else. My only real complaint with them as the lack of USB pass through support for the Huntsman, seriously Razer WTF where you thinking releasing a 200.00 keyboard without that.

I tried a Razer Death Adder Elite. I didn't like the sensitivity and accuracy. I switched back to Logitech (my 1st gaming mouse brand). The only thing that worked out well for me is the Logitech G703 wireless. It has no lag latency, lots of freedom, huge battery life, absolutely love the grip. I tried so many razer, corsair and other logitech mouse but the only thing that worked out for me is the G703. Give it a try if you are looking for performance, quality and extremely good grip.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say gamer rage is the reason why people are complaining about quality control. Treat your product with care and it will go along way. I've used many Razer peripherals and have not seen a single break. Not to mention their industrial design for their laptops are Apple quality.
